Opening
The Warren County SWCD Board Meeting opened by David Taylor at 8:31 am, with Zach Dimmich, Ryan Bell, Aaron Senesac, Julie Clark from SWCD present. Amy Stewart from NRCS and Diane Scheurich from FSA present. Roger Sparenberg was not present.
Monthly documents-After review of the monthly documents Ryan made a motion to accept as written and printed, with a second from Zach, motion carries.
Partner Updates
NRCS- Amy Stewart provided a printed copy of updates for NRCS and what has been accomplished as well as what she is working on currently.
FSA- Diane Scheurich announced of the election coming up for the COC for USAD/FSA including a hand out for an explanation of which townships are open. Diane also explained of looking through emergency programs available for producers and suggested to guide people to sign up at farmers.gov which will then go to login.gov for each producer to see their farms and sign up for programs online. There is still no updated Farm Bill passed for the USDA to have guidelines from. Deadline for Certification of farms for producers and landowners is July 15th.
New Business
Newspaper subscription-After some discussion on prices of a subscription of the newspaper, Aaron made a motion to approve the subscription at $60 for the year for the Warren County SWCD, and a second from Zach, motion carries.
Drill repairs- The board discussed the maintenance and repairs needed to the drill. Ryan made a motion to approve to get the looked over by Glasscock’s Equipment Dealer and repaired of all the repairs needed, with authorization to pay the invoice once received, Zach seconded the motion, motion carries.
Old Business
Monitor- Julie requested due to time availability for this matter tabled.
CWI Grant progress- Julie informed the board of the progress and future meetings with MSD School Administration for a Letter of Support.
Contractor listing- Julie is still working on this for the website and resources.
Awards- No awards were submitted for River Friendly Farmer Award for 2026 due to no vote on nominations.
Board Leadership Program- Julie reminded the board of the importance to go to the BLP and improving board members roles. Aaron is able to attend.
LWG Ranking- The board decided to advertise in July in order to have the Local Working Group in August for results to be turned in by September.
Fish Orders- Julie discussed with the board of the payments for the Fall 25 and Spring 26 Fish sales on June Accounts Payable Voucher.
Warren County 4-H Fair- The board verified with Julie of the schedule for attending the Warren County 4-H Fair for the Commercial Tent.
